For
Immediate Release: September 11, 2004 Junior Erica Angell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./ Speckenkill) covered the 5,000 meters in 18:08.80 to finish second among 94 runners. Angell crossed two seconds behind the race winner, Kristen Meyer of UConn. Classmate Stacy Kramer (Loudonville, N.Y./ Colonie Central) was fifth in 18:21, junior Kathryn Murnane (Rockville Center, N.Y./ Oceanside) finished ninth in 18:33.62 and senior Lindsey Bohrer-Yardley (Oneida, N.Y./ Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) placed 13th (18:43.54). The
men were 10th out of 11 teams, totalling 242 points. New Hampshire
won the meet with 53 points, followed by Harvard (65), Maine
(96), Albany (120) and UConn (126) in the top five. Junior Prahlad
Genung (Afton, N.Y./ Afton Central) was the lone runner
to crack the top half, finishing 34th among 83 runners after
covering the 8,000 meters in 26:44.33. |
