Immediate Release: September 9, 2006 In the men's meet, Columbia proved to be too strong for the rest of the field, taking the first 11 spots of the 38-runner race. Paul Morris won the 8,000 event with a time of 26:21.0 but five of his teammates finished within 1.3 seconds of him. Gaube,
who graduated from nearby Vestal High School last May, was 12th
overall with a time of 27:18. Fellow freshman Craig Coon
(Penfield, N.Y.) placed 14th (27:42), followed by sophomore Adam
Hill (Delmar, N.Y.), who was 15th (27:55), senior Jeff
Herbert (Somerville, N.J.), who finished 16th (27:59) and
freshman John Carroll (Ithaca, N.Y.), who was 17th (28:28). Columbia
