women's tennis sweeps Savannah State 7-0
SIMSBURY,
CONN.-The Binghamton women's tennis team (9-5, 2-0 AE) won its
fourth consecutive match, sweeping Hartford (2-6, 0-3 AE) 7-0.
The win continues the Bearcats' impressive turnaround from last
season, when they were 4-10 after 14 matches.
With her 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles over Anna Mora, sophomore
Zeynep
Altinay (Antayla, Turkey) raised her singles
record to 24-4 for the season. She has now won 15 of her last
16 matches, all at No. 1 singles.
Binghamton travels to Stony Brook for a 9 a.m. match next Saturday.
The Bearcats will also face Providence at Stony Brook at 12:30
p.m.
