Binghamton
loses 6-1 to Cornell
ITHACA,
N.Y.-- Despite a gritty, come-form-behind win by sophomore Zeynep
Altinay (Antalya, Turkey) at No. 1 singles, the Binghamton
women's tennis team lost 6-1 at Cornell on Saturday. The Big
Red Swept the remaining five singles matches and all three doubles
matches.
Altinay, who is now 20-4 this season, was trailing Akane Kokubo
3-6, 0-4 before storming back to win in dramatic fashion, 3-6,
7-6 (6), 10-3.
