Burlington, Vt.--Sophomore midfielder Emily Moore (Pearl, River, N.Y.) and freshman defender Meghan Taylor (Campbell Hill, N.Y./ Washingtonville) each netted a goal, leading Binghamton (8-2-2, 2-0-1 AE) to a 2-1 win at Vermont (3-9-0, 1-1-0 AE) in an America East Conference women's soccer game on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Bearcats extended their season-high unbeaten streak to seven games.

"We are pleased to get the win," head coach Jeff Leightman said. "We have to keep playing well because we have some very tough conference games ahead of us. Still, getting a conference win on the road is always valuable."

Taylor broke open a scoreless game at 43:04 when she took a cross from junior forward Tracy Kasmarcik (Binghamton, N.Y./ Susquehanna Valley) and knocked it into the net. Taylor's goal came at 60:57, when she headed in a corner kick from senior midfielder Amanda Norman (Middletown, N.Y.).

Vermont got a goal back at 67:15 but was held scoreless the rest of the way. Binghamton senior goalkeeper Lauren Cherry (Wyncote, Pa./ Cheltenham) made three saves.

Binghamton travels to Stony Brook next Thursday for a 3:30 p.m. game.
