Binghamton University women’s soccer player Amanda Norman (Middletown, N.Y.) has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District team, the school learned today. Norman, a senior midfielder, was selected to the second team.

Norman, who last week was named to the America East all-conference squad, led the Bearcats to a 9-7-2 mark and a sixth place finish in the nine-team league. She contributed a team-high 10 assists from her center midfield position, and led the conference in assists per game (0.56). She also added two goals, and concluded her three-year career at Binghamton with 37 points (10g-17a).

Norman carries a 3.35 grade-point average in biology.
