For Immediate Release: November 1, 2004 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Massey named America East Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week VESTAL, N.Y.--Junior midfielder Lauren Massey (Burlington, Ontario) has been named the America East Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 25-31. It marks the second time in her career that she has received a weekly honor from the conference. Massey was also named the Rookie of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2, 2002. In Binghamton's 2-1 overtime win against Boston this past Thursday, Massey had a goal and an assist in leading the Bearcats to the No. 1 seed in the upcoming America East Conference Tournament. Her goal 1:16 into overtime was her second of the season. The Bearcats (12-5-1) host either Boston or Northeastern in the America East Conference semifinals on Friday at 11 a.m at West Gym Field.
