Immediate Release: October 17, 2005 VESTAL, N.Y. - Junior keeper Kristie Bowers (Rochester, N.Y.) has been honored as the America East Women's Soccer Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. It is the second time this season that Bowers has received league-wide accolades. She allowed just one goal in two games for the Bearcats, lowering her goals against average to 0.83. Her play helped Binghamton go 1-0-1 and clinch a spot in the upcoming conference tournament. At
Maine on Sunday, Bowers made 13 saves for her seventh shutout
of the season. The shutout was her fourth in the last six games. |
