Score "This was heartbreaking," head coach Jeff Leightman said. "We had our chances to win and so did they. We didn't tak advantage of our opportunities." Chassar dribbled the ball past midfield into Binghamton's end of the field. When she was 30 yards from the goal, she fired a shot diagonally from near the right endline that found the upper left corner of the net. Binghamton got to the overtime period due largely to senior goalkeeper Lauren Cherry (Wyncote, Pa./ Cheltenham). While the Terriers outshot the Bearcats 19-7, she made 10 saves on the day. "Lauren was unbelievable today," Leightman said. "She was the reason we were still in the game." Binghamton faces Hartford at home on Thursday at 4 p.m. |
