For Immediate Release: August 4, 2004 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Binghamton women's lacrosse team earns IWLCA Academic Team honors VESTAL, N.Y.--- The Binghamton women's lacrosse team has earned an Academic Squad standing from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for the 2005 season. The Bearcats were one of 34 NCAA Division I programs to have attained at least a 3.0 team GPA. "I am extremely proud of the on and off the field accomplishments of the team this past year," head coach Emily Edmonston said. "Academic achievement is very important to all of the student-athletes at Binghamton, and I am so excited that women's lacrosse was able to represent those ideals."
