Immediate Release: November 19, 2004 "I thought the girls had a great season," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "It is great to make the conference tournament . The team fought hard and ran up against a real good team that was playing well. I thought throughout the season our seniors put in a good effort." In the first game the Bearcats overcame a small defict to tie the game at nine a piece. The Great Danes took over at that point, going on a 21-8 run to end the first game. In the second and third game Binghamton got behind quickly and was unable to overcome the deficit to Albany. Sophomore
middle blocker Megan
Hoag (Brunswick, Ohio) was the only Bearcat to be named to
the all-tournament team hitting .300 in the game on four kills.
Senior right side hitter Jen
Smith (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) had seven digs. Senior middle
hitter Anne
Crocus (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem) contributed four kills
and four digs. Senior outside hitter Michele
Heck (Chiago, Ill.) had four kills. Sophomore setter Ashley
Meffert (Louisville, Ky.) added 10 assists and four digs.
