For Immediate Release: April 5, 2004 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Weeks named America East Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week Senior pitcher Michelle Weeks (Bunnell, Fla./ Flagler Palm Coast) has been named the America East Conference Pitcher of the Week for March 29-April 5. It marks the first time this season and the second time in her career that she has earned the award. Weeks became the first Binghamton pitcher in four years to throw a no hitter when she held visiting Hartford to just three walks in an 11-0 win on Saturday. She struck out a season-high 11 batters and improved her record to 3-4 on the season. Last season, Weeks was a first-team America East all-conference selection. Binghamton (9-9-1) travels to Syracuse for a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday.
