For Immediate Release: December 7, 2004 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Hennessy named America East Conference men's Field Athlete of the Week VESTAL, N.Y.-- Junior Paddy Hennessy (Selkirk, N.Y./ Bethlehem) has been named the America East Conference men's Field Athlete of the Week. He earned the honor by virtue of his victory in the 35 lb. weight throw at the Cornell Indoor Track Relays this past Saturday. Hennessy's winning distance of 56-11 met the qualifying standard for the IC4A Indoor Championships, which will be held in Boston March 5-6. "Paddy threw exceptionally well for a December meet and is already well ahead of his best throw from least year," head coach Mike Thompson said. "He put in a lot of time over the summer and his committment to throwing goes beyond practice and competition. He has a chance to be one of the very best throwers in the Northeast Region this year."
