Immediate Release: Janaury 20, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Nye wins two events at Colgate Class of 1932 Indoor Track Invitational NEW YORK, N.Y.-- Senior Jessica Nye (Allegany, N.Y.) was a double winner, highlighting Binghamton's performance at the Cornell Class of 1932 Indoor Track Invitational. The women were fourth in the 12-team event with 53.5 points while the men placed third with 50.0 points. Nye took top honors in the long jump (4.93 meters) and the triple jump (10.53 m.). Other individual winners for the Bearcats were sophomore Aja Phipps (Mount Vermon, N.Y.) in the high jump (1.57 m.) and senior Nick Tillman (Binghamton, N.Y.) in the high jump. Senior Andy Kirsch (East Greenbush, N.Y.) was second in the men's pole vault (4.10 m.) and freshman Marsha Fiesinger (North Syracuse, N.Y.) placed second in the 55 hurdles (10.86). Senior Sara Hoffman (Fonda, N.Y.) finished third in the women's pole vault, freshman Tyler Nichols (Skaneateles, N.Y.) was third in the men's pole vault (3.9 m.) while sophomore Ben Babcock (New Paltz, N,Y.) was third in the men's weight throw (14.8 m.).
