PRINCETON, N.J.-- Junior Rory Quiller (West Point, N.Y.) and seniors Paddy Hennessy (Selkirk, N.Y.), Jamie Stitt (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) and Hasani Hampden (Freeport, N.Y.) each earned All-East honors at the ECAC/IC4A Championships this past weekend in Princeton, N.J. In addition, the Bearcats set a pair of school records. Quiller took second in the men's pole vault, clearing a school-record height of 17 feet, 2 3/4 inches. Hennessy was seventh in the hammer with a throw of 186 feet, 11 inches, and Stitt took eighth in the women's pole vault, clearing 11 feet, 11 3/4 inches. Hampden placed fifth in the finals of the 400 hurdles on Sunday with a time of 52.89. On Saturday in the prelimaries, he was third overall with a time of 52.34 seconds. Also on Saturday, the women's 1600-meter relay team of Keisha Short (Yephank, N.Y.), Joy Romulus (Washingtonville, N.Y.), Dayna Johnson (Brentwood, N.Y.) and Kim Williams (Buffalo, N.Y.) finished 13th overall with a school-record time of 3:50. |
