Immediate Release: Janaury 20, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Binghamton track & field teams compete at Albany Great Dane Indoor Classic NEW YORK, N.Y.-- The Binghamton men's and women's track & field teams continued their seasons on Friday at the Albany Great Dane Indoor Classic on Friday night in New York City. The women's team finished fifth out of 13 teams with 67 points while the men were seventh out of 14 teams with 47.5 points. Northeastern won the women's meet with 143 points while Rutgers captured the men's meet with 134 points. On the women's side, freshman Kim Williams (Buffalo, N.Y.) broke the school record in the 200, placing third in a time of 25.23. The previous record was held by Heather Tassler (25.52). Sophomore Dayna Johnson (Brentwood, N.Y.) was second in the triple jump (40-0), senior Kathryn Murnane was second in the mile (5:18.03) and senior Jaime Stitt (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) was third in the pole vault (10-10). Senior Adam Goldberg (New Rochelle, N.Y.) was the top performer on the men's side, taking second in both the high jump (6-7) and 55 hurdles (7.74). Senior Paddy Hennessy (Selkirk, N.Y.) was third in the weight throw (55-7 3/4).
