Before Binghamton: A two-time Section 9 Division 2 discus champ at New Paltz ... also a one-time section 9 class B discus champ ... a three-year team captain ... in his senior year, he placed sixth in Division 2 (14th overall) in the discus ... as a junior, he was ninth in Division 2 ... also lettered in football and was the team co-captain his senior year ... New Paltz won the Section 9 class B championship his junior year and was the runner up his senior year.

Personal: Born May 21, 1986 ... parents are Sharon and Benjamin Babcock ... majoring in electrical engineering.
