Binghamton men's tennis blanks Erskine 7-0 in Hilton Head, S.C.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Binghamton men's tennis team (11-5) posted its second straight shutout to begin its spring trip. On Tuesday, the Bearcats blanked Division II Erskine College (S.C.), 7-0, at the Hilton Head Tennis Resort in Hilton Head, S.C. The Bearcats swept all nine matches and lost only six singles games in 12 sets of tennis.

"We played very well today," head coach Michael Starke said.

Sophomore No. 1 Dan Hanegby (Herzliya, Israel) improved to 22-6 overall with a 6-1, 6-2 singles triumph. Junior Richemn Mourad (Sao Paulo, Brazil) posted his second straight 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and freshman Alex Dobrin (Flushing, N.Y.) raised his record to 18-5 with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the third spot.

The Bearcats continue their spring trip with Wednesday matches against Luther College (8 a.m.) and Carleton College (11 a.m.) in Hilton Head.
