Immediate Release: March 24, 2005 "It was a spirited and hotly contested match," head coach Michael Starke said. "Our doubles play needs to improve but our singles play was good today." Sophomore No. 1 Dan Hanegby (Herzliya, Israel) improved to 25-6 with a straight-set win and freshman Alex Dobrin (Flushing, N.Y.) continued his strong play with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 win at the third spot. Dobrin is now 20-5 overall. Juniors Edwin Gerard (Bayside, N.Y.) and Brian O'Connor (New Rochelle, N.Y.) provided wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles respectively. O'Connor lifted his record to 16-6, including a 12-5 dual match mark. The Bearcats return north to host Hartford on April 2 at the West Gym Courts.
