For Immediate Release: December 6, 2005 Contact: Thomas Moore II (sports@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-2956 Binghamton men's swimmer Holmes named America East Co-Performer of the Week America East Conference Release VESTAL, N.Y.--Binghamton University junior David Holmes (Doncaster, England) has been named the America East Men's Swimming Co-Performer of the Week for Nov. 29 - Dec. 7. This is the third week this season that Holmes has received this honor and the fifth time in his collegiate career. Holmes swam the 1000-free in 9:37.67, breaking the school record of 9:38.46 set by recent Binghamton Hall of Famer Matt Feinberg in 1996, this past week in a meet against Cornell. Holmes touched second in the 200-fly (1:53.13). He swam the final leg of the 400 free relay which took first place in 3:07.39. The Bearcats are off until January 5 when the travel to the Florida Invite.
