Immediate Release: January 18, 2005 "I was very surprised that David (Holmes) swam that well coming off a hard week of training," head coach Patrice Back said. "Having David tie the 50 free record shows the team that they can swim well when tired. Once he rests there is little limit to what he can accomplish." Holmes tied the school record of 21.18 in the 50 free, which was set by Dan Holmberg last season. He was also victorious in the 200-Butterfly, touching the wall in 1:56.32. Holmes was also part of the 400-yard medley relay team that triumphed with a time of 3:30.69. Binghamton swimming and diving will host Lafayette on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the West Gym Pool. |
