earn first-round bye in America East TournamentBearcats are #2 seed, will host winner of Hartford-Maine on Saturday at 1 p.m. > Photo Gallery Official Pairings from America East VESTAL, N.Y.--After defeating New Hampshire 2-0 on Saturday to clinch at least the No. 3 spot in the America East Conference Tournament, the Binghamton men's soccer team vaulted into the No. 2 position when Boston was upset by Hartford 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night. As a result, Binghamton earns a first round bye and will await the winner of Wednesday's first round game between No. 6 Maine and No. 3 Hartford. UMBC is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will host the winner of the other first round game between No. 5 Northeastern and No. 4 Boston. The America East Championship game is scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 15-16 and will be played at the home field of the higher seeded team. The conference champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. |
