Immediate Release: December 18, 2005 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Munro named third-team All-America by College Soccer News Senior back is first Division I player from Binghamton to receive All-America honors VESTAL, N.Y.--Senior back Graham Munro (Invergordon, Scotland) has been named third-team All-America by College Soccer News. He is the first Binghamton player to be named All-America since the program moved up to the Division I level prior to the 2002 season. Murno, who is the three-time America East Defender of the Year, ranked fourth on the Bearcats this season with five goals and 10 points. He has also been named first-team all-conference in each of his four seasons at Binghamton. On the regional level, Munro has been named to the NSCAA/ New York Region first team the past three seasons. In the four years Munro has been with the program, Binghamton has won the 2003 America East championship and was the runner up in 2004 and 2005. The Bearcats are one of just three teams to have advanced to the America East finals three consecutive seasons. In addition, Binghamton advanced to the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament and has been nationally ranked by both the NSCAA and College Soccer News the past two seasons. |
