Immediate Release: August 14, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Joe Howe named Binghamton men's soccer assistant coach VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton University men's soccer team has announced the hiring of Joe Howe as an assistant coach. He joins a staff that includes fifth-year head coach Paul Marco and sixth-year assistant coach John Scott. Howe is no stranger to the Binghamton program, having been a defender for the Bearcats the past two seasons. During that span, the Bearcats advanced to the America East Conference title game twice and were nationally-ranked early in the 2004 and 2005 campaigns. This past May, Howe earned his bachelor's degree in nursing. "We are pleased that Joe has joined our staff," Marco said. "He has tremendous character and his commitment to our team and University is first class. Joe understands what it takes to be successful here in the classroom and on the field."
