Immediate Release: September 8, 2006 Sophomore back Barry Neville (Mearns Castle, Scotland) and senior forward Peter Seguglia (Schenectady, N.Y.) each coverted penalty kicks. Neville's goal at the 13:41 mark made it 1-0, giving the Bearcats a lead they would take into the half. Sgueglia's blast at 49:57 came just 2:30 after Dadi Kristjansson deadlocked the game at 1-1. It was Neville, however, who was red carded at the 57:42 mark. That ejection forced the Bearcats to play a man down and Florida Atlantic outshot the Bearcats 9-2 in the second half. Florida Atlantic outshot Binghamton 19-6 for the game. Redshirt
freshman goalkeeper Jason Stenta (Binghamton, N.Y.) made
four saves, including a pair in the second sudden-death overtime
period. |
