The game marked the second time this season that a Patriot League squad has defeated the Bearcats (Lehigh also beat Binghamton 1-0 on Sept. 17). After 39 minutes of scoreless action, the host Bison were awarded a penalty kick when Daniel Ziznewski was taken down inside the box by a pair of Binghamton defenders. That set up the penalty kick by Curnette, who fired the ball into the right corner of the net for his first goal of the season. Binghamton outshot Bucknell 12-7, including 8-4 in the second half, but failed to get the equalizer. The Bearcats return home to battle America East Conference foe Maine on Saturday at 1 p.m. |
