VESTAL, N.Y. — Senior forward Eric Maruffi-Cowley and senior midfielder Nick Taylor netted goals within a span of 71 seconds, leading visiting Bucknell (2-0) to a 2-0 win over Binghamton (0-2) today at West Gym Field. The game marked the Bearcats’ first home contest under head coach Paul Marco.

Maruffi-Cowley got the Bison on the board early, firing a shot from five yards out to the left of the goal at the 6:44 mark of the game. Taylor quickly followed at the 7:55 mark, converting a shot from the middle of the goal box to make it 2-0.

Binghamton fought back in the second half, outshooting the Bison 7-3, but were unable to get on the scoreboard.

Up next for the Bearcats is a road game at Marist on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
