For Immediate Release: March 20, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Binghamton men's lacrosse team ranked No. 16 in USILA/STX Weekly Poll Current USILA/STX Poll VESTAL, N.Y.-- The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (4-1) has broken into the USILA/STX Top 20 Poll for the first time in its five-year program history. After receiving votes the past two weeks, the Bearcats are currently ranked No. 16. Earlier in the day, Binghamton received its first-ever ranking in the current Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Poll, appearing at No. 18. "We don't get caught up in the rankings but we've earned where we are at with two wins over Top 20 teams," Stephenson said. "It's early in the season and we are looking to improve each game." The No. 16 ranking represents the highest slot any Binghamton team has received from a national poll at the Division I level. The men's soccer team was ranked No. 19 in both the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 and College Soccer News Top 30 polls on Sept. 4, 2004 as well as in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 poll on Sept. 24, 2005.
