Immediate Release: March 7, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Binghamton men's lacrosse receiving votes in two major polls USILA/STX Top Poll Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Poll VESTAL, N.Y.-- Following its 7-6 double-overtime upset at No. 8 Towson on Saturday, the Binghamton men's lacrosse team (1-1) is now receiving votes in two major polls. In the USILA/STX Top 20 poll, the Bearcats are the second team receiving votes. In the Inside Lacrosse Top 20 poll, the squad is the seventh team receiving votes. A fifth-year intercollegiate program, Binghamton's win over Towson marked the first time it has ever defeated a team ranked in the Top 10 of a national poll. Binghamton heads to Villanova on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game. |
