Binghamton men's basketball player Milne named America East Rookie of Week
Freshman forward averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds in pair of BU victories

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton University men's basketball player Ian Milne (Winkler, Manitoba) has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today. Milne is the second BU to earn conference-wide honors this season. Senior forward Sebastian Hermenier was the Player of the Week on December 19.

Milne averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds during BU's 2-0 week. He scored a season-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting at New Hampshire. Milne drained 5-of-6 from three-point range and also produced a double-double with 10 rebounds. He then added four points in 13 minutes of work against Stony Brook.

For the season, Milne is shooting a team-best 53% from beyond the arc (9-for-17).

Binghamton begins a three-game road trip at Maine on January 12.
