In another exhausting 36-hole single-day tournament, Binghamton fired rounds of 298-299=597 to capture the 10-team Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational in Delaware. The Bearcats rallied to defeat runner-up Navy (296-306=602) and the rest of the field at Kings Creek CC, setting a new tournament in the process. The tournament win was BU's second in a row and fourth in five events this fall. The other result was a third place showing at the Dartmouth Invitational. Head coach John Affleck's team is now 64-2-2 (.956) heading into this weekend's ECAC Championship, hosted by BU at The Links at Hiawatha Landing. "It was a great win on a very tough course," Affleck said. Just two days after winning the 36-hole Columbia Invitational, BU played 10 hours of golf on Monday, rallying from two shots down after the morning session to beat Navy by five strokes. Junior Keith Hendrickson (Syosset, N.Y.) shot back-to-back 1-over 73s - good for a share of second place among the 55 golfers. Freshman Brad Moulton (Orangeville, Ontario) shot 73-74 to tie for fourth place. Moulton closed out his morning round with consecutive birdies, and then collected three more birdies in the afternoon. Senior captain Adam Fuchs (Plainview, N.Y./JFK-Plainview) shot 73-75 to tie for seventh place. It was the 15th consecutive tournament that Fuchs has placed among the top-10, dating back to last fall. "Keith played some really tremendous golf," Affleck said. "That was a tough track, with a lot of out-of-bounds and lateral hazards. Brad also had another great tournament." Playing as indidividuals, freshmen Chris McLaughlin (Northport, N.Y.) and Matt Mattingly (Manlius, N.Y./Centennial) each tied for 16th at 153. McLaughlin shot 78-75, and Mattingly carded rounds of 77-76. Complete
