Immediate Release: August 9, 2006 Contact: David O'Brian (dobrian@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-6478 Marshall Dornink hired as Binghamton Assistant Athletic Trainer VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Marshall Dornink as an assistant athletic trainer. He will be the trainer for the Bearcats' volleyball, wrestling and swimming & diving squads. Dornink comes directly from the University of North Dakota, where he was the trainer for the school's women's soccer and baseball teams for two years. During the 2003-04 academic year, he was an intern at Army and worked primarily with the Black Knights' football team. He also helped out with the softball, gymnastic and men's and women's tennis teams. A 2003 graduate of Wisconsin-Lacrosse, Dornink worked in the training room for four years and earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training. Three years later, he completed his master's degree in kinesiology at North Dakota. "Marshall comes to us with a great educational background and significant experience," Binghamton Head Athletic Trainer Dan King said. "We are excited to have him on board to help us fulfill our mission to provide the best quality of care for our athletes."
