Immediate Release: August 25 2005 VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton University baseball coach and reigning America East Coach of the Year Tim Sinicki has added Ryan Hurba to his staff for the 2006 season. Hurba joins Tim Harkness as assistant coaches with the Bearcats' program. "I am absolutely thrilled to have Ryan join the coaching staff," Sinicki said. "He brings a great wealth of knowledge, passion and enthusiasm to our program." Hurba comes from Mount Olive College (N.C.), where he served as an assistant for two years. Before that he was an assistant with Brevard Community College (Fla.). As an undergraduate, he earned All-America honors at Oswego State in 1996. Hurba was a three-time all-region selection and two-time ECAC all-star. In 2001, he was inducted into Oswego's Baseball Hall of Fame. He has also served as an associate scout with the Milwaukee Brewers and was head coach and league director of the Dunwoody Senior Baseball League in Georgia. Hurba received his bachelor's degree in recreation and leisure studies from Mount Olive in the spring. TRANSACTIONS -- Binghamton University (N.Y.) hired Ryan Hurba as an assistant baseball coach |
