Binghamton baseball pitcher Groh repeats as America East Pitcher of Week
Sophomore hurler has 13-inning scoreless streak, leads league in ERA

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton sophomore baseball pitcher Zach Groh (Reading, Pa.) was selected as Americae East co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. It is the second consecutive week that he has earned the top pitching honor.

Groh, a 6-foot-1 righthander, extended his scoreless innings streak to 13 with a strong showing at Central Connecticut State on Saturday. He allowed just two hits in six innings and struck out seven batters en route to his second straight win. Groh leads the America East in earned run average (0.82), opponents' batting average (.110) and strikeouts (9.82/gm.). In 22 innings of work this spring, he has allowed just two extra-base hits.

The Bearcats host Cornell in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
