East Release Groh, a 6-foot-1 righthander, extended his scoreless innings streak to 13 with a strong showing at Central Connecticut State on Saturday. He allowed just two hits in six innings and struck out seven batters en route to his second straight win. Groh leads the America East in earned run average (0.82), opponents' batting average (.110) and strikeouts (9.82/gm.). In 22 innings of work this spring, he has allowed just two extra-base hits. The Bearcats host Cornell in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. |
