Immediate Release: March 18, 2006 Box Score Senior center fielder Aaron Davis (San Fransisco, Calif.) and freshman third baseman Kyle Klee (Rocheter, N.Y.) drove in three runs apiece and senior Seth Rademacker (Marilla, N.Y.) went five innings to record his first victory of the season. Leading 1-0 entering the third inning, BU plated six runs on five hits - all with two outs. Davis delivered a two-run double and Klee followed with a two-run single. Freshman catcher Micael Quinn (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y,.) added an RBI single. The trio, batting 7-8-9 in the lineup, accounted for seven hits and seven RBI. After Bucknell trimmed its deficit to 8-5, BU pushed across single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to close out the scoring. Davis stroked an RBI single in the seventh inning and wound up 3-for-5 with three RBI. Freshman left fielder Ken Jacobi (Milford, Conn.) went 3-for-5 with a run scored. Jacobi leads Binghamton with a .462 average. He has hit safely in seven of his first eight collegiate games. Rademacker scattered five hits and three earned runs in five innings. He struck out five and walked just one. Junior Mike Van Gorder (Vestal, N.Y.) pitched the final four innings for his first save of the season. Van Gorder allowed three hits and two runs. Binghamton next opens a four-game set at Lehigh with a doubleheader on March 25. |
