Kowalchuk named New York State Baseball Conference Rookie of the Week
Freshman left fielder T.J. Kowalchuk (Stormville, N.Y.) has been named
Rookie of the Week in the New York State Baseball Conference for April 2-8.
Kowalchuk went 3-for-7 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored in
BU's twinbill split at C.W. Post on Saturday. He was 2-for-3 with three
RBI in the team's 4-2 victory in game two. Kowalchuk's two-run home run
helped the Bearcats overcome a 2-1 deficit in the fourth inning.
He has 11 hits and 10 RBI in 17 starts this spring, and is second on the
team in home runs with three.
